Sarah brings to CooperRiis a diverse set of experience and skills in hospitality management, software development and technical support, human resources, and office and facilities management. In addition, she dedicated the past decade to building a career as a mental health counselor.
Sara’s most recent position at CooperRiis was Residential Operations Director. Before joining CooperRiis, Sarah worked as an inpatient therapist at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Florida, providing individual and group therapy, discharge planning, and therapeutic and crisis interventions. Sarah also has experience working in correctional facilities as a forensic therapist, long-term residential treatment, non-profit substance abuse recovery, hospitality management and human resources, and private practice.
She graduated with an AAS with a concentration in psychology from Sussex County Community College in Newton, NJ. She transferred to East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania to earn a BS in Hospitality Management. She returned to school as a nontraditional student in 2009 and earned her MA in Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University in Sarasota, FL, in 2012.
