Before joining CooperRiis healing Community, Leah worked as a mentor and recovery coach in residential treatment with youth and adults. She was a CooperRiis Recovery Coach before transitioning to Care Coordinator.
Leah graduated with Honors from UNCA in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in English. While an undergrad, she was the first vice president of ESCAPE, an organization aimed at supporting LGBT+ adolescent and young adult cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers.
Leah is also an artist and loves oil painting, spending time exploring Asheville with her partner, or playing with her Boston terrier “Mr. B”.
Her goal is soon to begin her Master’s Degree in Social Work studies.
