Laura joined the CooperRiis Asheville team as a PRN (as needed) in September, 2020 and moved into the Care Coordinator role in June 2022.
She was attracted to CooperRiis for its unique culture of community values and holistic, person-first-centered approaches to mental health recovery. She has worked with many diverse populations across different settings, primarily with children and youth. “I am grateful to be a part of making a positive difference in the CooperRiis residents’ recovery journeys.”
Laura is a 2016 graduate of Western Carolina University’s MSW Program.
Laura enjoys exploring the beautiful hiking trails around the Blue Ridge Mountains, sweating through a hot yoga class, traveling, or relaxing at home with her partner and her fat gray cat, Schrodinger.
