‘”I strongly value the CooperRiis strengths-based and person-centered approach to recovery. My goal as a Recovery Coordinator is to guide and walk alongside each individual throughout their unique journey. I feel blessed to be a part of a community where kindness, empathy, and a passion for seeing people thrive is paramount.”
Haley earned her Master’s Degree from the UNC-Chapel Hill Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling Program. She is currently pursuing her full licensure as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) to build on her Clinical Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) licensure.
During her graduate studies, Haley worked with UNC Kidney and Liver Transplant Services, NCDHHS Disability Services for the Blind, and provided outpatient therapy at the UNC STEP (Schizophrenia Treatment and Evaluation Program) Clinic. “My experience working with individuals with chronic illness, disability, trauma, and comorbid addiction and mental health challenges has led me to recognize the need for a holistic mind-body-spirit approach to recovery.”
She strives to create a collaborative environment and a safe space for residents to feel heard as they work together to identify and achieve their personal recovery goals. I genuinely believe that residents can lead meaningful lives with the proper support. She aims to foster a sense of independence and hope, encourage exploration and develop a strong self-identity, and guide the residents she works with to pursue a meaningful life.
Haley enjoys spending time with her furry feline companion, Bella, during her free time. She is a lover of ceramics, has a strong passion for seeing and creating art, and enjoys living in the Asheville area and reconnecting with nature.
