As a milieu therapist (Milieu, French for “middle space), Daniela encourages residents to establish personal treatment goals, develop healthier ways of thinking, make decisions for themselves, cope with challenges in everyday real-life situations and participate in the community.
Previously Daniela was a child and family therapist at a foster care center and worked with domestic violence clients.
Daniela earned both her Bachelor’s in Social Work and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia.
Included in Daniela’s practices are EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Family Systems Theory.
Daniela loves being in nature with her dog Cooper, singing karaoke, and doing DIY projects with her husband.
