Carrie has dedicated her professional career to working with families and their loved ones suffering from mental health challenges in psychiatric hospitals, partial hospitalization, residential treatment facilities, schools, outpatient mental health agencies, and foster care. She has been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for 26 years. Additionally, she’s a licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist in Mental Health and Substance Use to serve the needs of persons with Dual-Diagnosis and is a Certified Clinical Supervisor.
While living in California, Carrie was an adjunct professor. She highly values mentoring and cultivating students into the workforce. She signed on to be an adjunct at Montreat College in Montreat, NC, to stay abreast of current research.
Carrie earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical-Community Psychology from Cal State Long Beach in CA and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Human Development from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, CA.
A California native, Carrie is now calling the mountains of Western North Carolina home. She could not be happier with her decision as this area offers outside recreation, beauty, and tranquility.
