Amy Kerns

Amy Kerns, BS

Recovery Coach Manager

My work in our healing community can be as still and simple as sharing a sunbeam and as exciting as finding a purpose in life.”

Amy is a role model, leader, and coach for our Asheville Community Program residents and staff. She currently serves as the Interim Residential Manager, where she instills leadership, helps staff and individuals maintain their hope, teaches new skills, coaches, and does it with respect and levity.

Amy’s work experience includes Art Education, being a Community Representative for Artists with Disabilities, and being a Residential Manager with the Autism Society of North Carolina.

Being a Girl Scout camper and a subsequent Girl Scout Counselor brings her fond memories and instills in her the importance of being part of a community, a fondness she now shares with our residents.

Amy graduated from SUNY (State University of New York) New Paltz, NY, CUM LAUDE, with a degree in Art Education for K-12 grades.
